Configuring a Data Collection Policy

Configuring a Data Collection Policy

Before data collection, you need to configure the duration for storing frequently accessed data, which can be exported within this period for performance analysis.

SystemReporter collects data every five seconds at most and uses the data as frequently accessed data, and archives the frequently accessed data collected in a specific period as low-frequency data. After this option is selected, sample frequently accessed data will be exported first. The export takes a long time because the granularity of frequently accessed data is small and the data volume is large.

  1. On the navigation bar, click System.
  2. In the navigation tree, choose System Configuration > Registration and Configuration.
  3. In the registered device list of the function pane, select a device that you want to set frequently accessed data retention period for.
  4. Click Configure High-frequency Saving.

The Configure High-frequency Saving dialog box is displayed.

  5. Enter a retention period for frequently accessed data behind frequently accessed data save time in.

The retention period for frequently accessed data ranges from 1 day to 30 days. The default retention period is seven days.

  6. Click OK.

The Success dialog box is displayed.

  7. Click OK.
