What Data Does SystemReporter Collect and Process?

Personal data means any information which alone or jointly with other information can be used to identify a natural person. Such data will be collected when you use Huawei products or services, including the storage device's administrator user name and password, user's email address, user name and password required by the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) authentication service, and the user's phone number. Huawei will collect and use your personal data only for the purposes illustrated in this Policy. The following explains the personal data we may collect and how we make use of this data.

Non-personally identifiable information is information that cannot be used to identify a particular individual. For example, Huawei collects the storage device's performance monitoring data to provide users with the performance monitoring service. Huawei may collect, use, process, transfer, or disclose non-personally identifiable information for other purposes at its own discretion.

We will endeavor to isolate your personal data from non-personally identifiable information and ensure separate usage of the two types of data.

How Does SystemReporter Use Personal Data?

When registering a storage device, you need to specify the storage device's administrator user name and password to establish communication between SystemReporter and the storage device.

When the alarm email notification is required, you need to specify the user's email address and the user name and password required by the SMTP authentication service on the Notification Server Configuration page of SystemReporter.

When the alarm short message notification is required, you need to specify the user's phone number on the Notification Server Configuration page of SystemReporter.

How Do Users Access or Modify Their Personal Data?

According to Huawei's terms and conditions, you can manage your own personal data at any time, such as the on-site contact information. It is your responsibility to ensure that all personal data submitted to Huawei is correct. Huawei is dedicated to maintaining the accuracy and completeness of personal data and keeping the data up-to-date.

You have the right to access and update your personal data, except for certain legal exceptions. If the privacy and information laws of certain jurisdictions are different, we will comply with these laws. You can use SystemReporter to add, delete, modify, and query the data.

You also have the right to delete or modify any of your personal data kept by us. Huawei will remove or modify such information at your request. To make such a request, please send an email to apollosupport@huawei.com to contact us. We may decline the request if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the request is a fraud, infeasible or if the local law does not grant the right to access such data to Huawei.

Will SystemReporter Disclose Your Personal Information?

Unless for the following purposes or compliance with applicable laws, SystemReporter will not sell, lease, transact, or transfer your personal data in any way to third parties beyond Huawei and all its affiliates without your explicit consent.

We may access, disclose, and keep your personal data to the extent that it is lawful for the following purposes:

(一) To comply with applicable laws or respond to valid legal procedures (including law enforcement or other government agencies)

(二) To protect Huawei’s intellectual property rights, information assets, and other properties and rights.

How Does SystemReporter Protect Your Personal Information?

We use appropriate physical, management, and technical measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss. Huawei shall have no responsibility for any unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss of your personal data that is not caused by Huawei.

How Does SystemReporter Keep Your Personal Information?

SystemReporter will store your personal information as necessary to meet all purposes stipulated in the Privacy Policy.

Personal information collected by SystemReporter will be stored in ways corresponding to SystemReporter deployment modes. If SystemReporter is deployed on the server provided by the customer, the customer's personal information is stored on the such a server. If SystemReporter is deployed on a high-end storage device, the customer's personal information is stored on the storage device. The cross-border transfer of personal data is prohibited.
