Function

The change alarmlevel definition command is used to change an alarm severity.

Format

change alarmlevel definition < alarm_id > < alarm_level > [ report_snmp ] < report_dm >

alarm_id Alarm ID.

The value contains 1 to 127 letters, digits, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods (.).

alarm_level Alarm severity.
  • info: info.
  • warning: warning.
  • major: major.
  • critical: critical.
report_snmp Indicates whether the alarm is reported to SNMP.
  • true: the alarm is reported to SNMP.
  • false: the alarm is not reported to SNMP.
report_dm Indicates whether the alarm is reported to DeviceManager.
  • true: the alarm is reported to DeviceManager.
  • false: the alarm is not reported to DeviceManager.

Usage Guidelines

1.This command is used to set whether the alarm is reported to SNMP and DeviceManager.

2.If you do not want to change the alarm severity,run the show alarmlevel definition [alarm_id] command to acquire the default alarm severity, and enter the default alarm severity. If the alarm severity is changed, run the recover alarmlevel definition <id_list> to recover it to the original default alarm severity.

3.In the [ report_snmp ] < report_dm > parameter combinations, only following three cases are valid: alarms are fully reported,no alarms are reported, and alarms are only reported to DeviceManager. Alarms only reporting to SNMP are not supported.
