change node shutdown

Function

The change node shutdown command is used to shut down a node.

Format

change node shutdown < id >

Parameters

Value

id Node ID.

The value can contain 1 to 127 letters, digits, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods (.).

password The password of the current user.

The value contains 8 to 32 characters. The password cannot be the same as the user name or the reverse of the user name. Its length and complexity depend on users' security policies, see to change system user safe_strategy.

Usage Guidelines

  • Before running this command to shut down a node, run show system arbitration_information to check system arbitration information and determine whether the node can be shut down.
  • After this command is executed, the node is shut down and all ongoing tasks exit from the node.
  • You can disable, freeze, power off, or restart only one node to ensure data security.

Example

Shut down a node.

admin:/>change node shutdown 9315
DANGER: You are about to close the node. This operation may degrade data reliability and shut 
down the VM. Please make sure the VM on the node can be shut down normally before performing 
this operation.
