change ntp

Function

The change ntp command is used to set the NTP service for a cluster.

Format

change ntp <switch> [server=?] [version=?] [standby_server=?]

Parameters

switch NTP service status.

close: The NTP service is disabled.

open: The NTP service is enabled.

The default value is close.

server Address of the master NTP server.

The IPv4, IPv6 or domain name. When the parameter "switch" is configured as open, and the NTP server is configured for the first time, this parameter must be entered. When the parameter "switch" is configured as open and the master NTP server has been configured, this parameter is an optional parameter. When the parameter "switch" is configured as close, this parameter cannot be entered.

version NTP protocol version.

  • V4
The default protocol version is V4.
standby_server Address of the standby NTP server.

The IPv4, IPv6 or domain name. When the parameter "switch" is configured as open and the master server has been configured, this parameter is an optional parameter. This parameter cannot be entered in other situations.

Example

Set the NTP service for a cluster.

admin:/>change ntp open server=192.168.100.10
WARNING: You are about to set an external NTP server.
If you set the external NTP server, the system time of nodes in the cluster will be synchronized with the time of external NTP server.
This operation may adversely affect CDRs.
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the external NTP server needs to be changed.
