The create snapshot command is used to create a snapshot.


create snapshot < name > < dir_path > [ description=? ] [ expire_time=? ]





name Snapshot Name.

The value is a combination of letters, numbers, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods (.) and is 1 to 127 characters in length. The name must start with a letter and cannot end with a hyphen, underscore, or period.

dir_path Snapshot directory.

The value is 2 to 4000 characters in length and must start with a slash (/),the root directory is not supported.

description Snapshot description.

The value is 1 to 255 characters in length.

expire_time Snapshot expiration time.

The value is a character string. If the value is set to "infinite", the snapshot is eternally valid. You can set the value in the following format: yyyy-mm-dd/HH:MM:SS. The valid period is between 1970-01-01/00:00:00 and 2069-12-31/23:59:59. The default value is "infinite".

  • This command is used to create a snapshot for a specific directory.
  • This snapshot expires at the specified expiration time.


Create a snapshot.

admin:/> create snapshot snap_name01  /snapshot01 description=description expire_time=2024-07-16/17:30:00
