delete snmp usm


The delete snmp usm command is used to delete Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) USM user information.


delete snmp usm < usm_id > < user_name >





usm_id SNMP USM user ID.

The value can contain only 1 to 127 letters, digits, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods (.).

The user ID is automatically generated when an SNMP USM user is created, press Ctrl+A to view available list.

user_name SNMP USM user name.

The value contains 8 to 39 characters and cannot contain only spaces.



Usage Guidelines

  • After the information about an SNMP USM user is deleted, the SNMP USM user can neither pass the security authentication nor use the SNMP service.

[FS]2:The default SNMP USM user("snap_admin") is not supported to be deleted in Fusion Storage scenarios.


Delete Simple Network Management Protocol USM user information.

admin:/>delete snmp usm 3 test00001
CAUTION: You are about to delete the USM user. This operation may cause the USM user unavailable.
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the USM user is not being used.
