Function

The change worm_dir command is used to modify the parameters of a WORM directory.

change worm_dir < id > [ auto_delete_flag=? ] [ autolocktime=? ] < auto_lock_time_unit > [ def_protectperiod=? ] < def_protect_time_unit > [ max_protectperiod=? ] < max_protect_time_unit > [ min_protectperiod=? ] < min_protect_time_unit >

Value

id WORM directory ID.

The value is a character string that is 1 to 127 characters in length.

auto_delete_flag Whether the expired files in the WORM directory need to be automatically deleted. 1: TRUE: The file is automatically deleted when it expires. 2: FALSE: The file is not automatically deleted when it expires.

The value which can be TRUE or FALSE.

autolocktime Automatic lock time.

The value is a positive integer. With a unit, the value can be a period between 1 and 7200 minutes, 1 and 1080 hours, or 1 and 45 days.

auto_lock_time_unit Unit of the automatic lock time.

The value is "DAY", "HOUR", or "MINUTE".

def_protectperiod Default protection period.

The value is a positive integer. The value must not be smaller than the minimum protection period but not greater than the maximum protection period.

If the value is set to "infinite", the protection period is eternally effective.

def_protect_time_unit Unit of the default protection period.

The value is "DAY", "HOUR", or "MINUTE". If "def_protectperiod" is set to "infinite", this parameter is optional.

max_protectperiod Maximum protection period.

The value is a positive integer. The value must not be smaller than 1 hour but not greater than 70 years. If the value is set to "infinite", the protection period is eternally effective.

max_protect_time_unit Unit of the maximum protection period.

The value is "DAY", "HOUR", or "MINUTE". If "max_protectperiod" is set to "infinite", this parameter is optional.

min_protectperiod Minimum protection period.

The value is a positive integer and must be smaller than 30 years.

If the value is set to "infinite", the protection period is eternally effective.

min_protect_time_unit Unit of the minimum protection period.

The value is "DAY", "HOUR", or "MINUTE". If "min_protectperiod" is set to "infinite", this parameter is optional.

Usage Guidelines

  • This command will modify the parameters of a specific WORM directory. You can modify the automatic deletion flag for the expired files in the WORM directory, maximum protection period, minimum protection period, default protection period, and automatic lock time.
  • This command is valid for newly created files or sub-directories only. However, the automatic deletion flag for the expired files is also valid for old files.

Modify the parameters of a WORM directory.
