Connecting a PGND Cable
Connecting the PGND cable of a USG6680E, USG6712E, USG6716E correctly is a key measure of surge protection and resistance to interference. Before using the USG6680E, USG6712E, USG6716E, correctly connect the PGND cable. Otherwise, the USG may be damaged.
Procedure
- Loosen and remove the screw of the ground terminal on the lower right of the USG rear panel.
- Connect the OT terminal at one end of the PGND cable to the connection hole of the USG, with the conducting wire upward, as shown in A of Figure 5-44, and tighten the M4 screw. The tightening torque is 1.4 N·m.
- Connect the M6 end of the PGND cable to the ground terminal of the cabinet, workbench, or wall. The tightening torque of the M6 screw is 4.8 N·m.Figure 5-45 Connecting a PGND cable
In the dual-OT scenario, connect the ground terminal on the side panel of the USG.
