Setting the PSD Mode for a G.SHDSL Interface

Setting the PSD Mode for a G.SHDSL Interface

The G.SHDSL interface has been deactivated.

The router must be configured with the same power spectral density (PSD) mode as the peer device. The router supports the following PSD modes:

  • Symmetric PSD: The G.SHDSL interface is spectral-compatible with other services, uses less power, and is suitable for short-distance transmission.

  • Asymmetric PSD: The G.SHDSL interface uses a high output power for better transmission performance and is suitable for long-distance transmission.

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run either of the following commands to enter the G.SHDSL interface view.
    • If the transmission mode is set to ATM, run:
      interface atm interface-number
    • If the transmission mode is set to PTM, run:
      interface ethernet interface-number
  3. Run shdsl psd { asymmetry | symmetry }

    The PSD mode is set for the G.SHDSL interface.

    By default, the PSD mode of a G.SHDSL interface is symmetric PSD.
