Configuring Loopback Detection


You can configure loopback detection on an interface to monitor the interface or cable status.


Performing loopback detection affects system performance. After loopback detection is performed, run the undo loopback command to disable loopback detection immediately.


  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run interface bri interface-number

    The ISDN BRI interface view is displayed.

  3. Run loopback { local | remote } [ b1 | b2 | both ]

    Loopback detection is configured on the ISDN BRI interface.
