Configuring the Function of Carrying the IMSI and SN in an APN User Name

Configuring the Function of Carrying the IMSI and SN in an APN User Name

Context

When a device connects to the Agile Controller-Campus, the Agile Controller-Campus allocates an IP address to the device based on the IMSI of the SIM card and the SN of the device. The device uses the APN user name carrying the IMSI and SN for LTE dialup to obtain an IP address from the Agile Controller-Campus.

To prevent a rogue SIM card from establishing a connection with the Agile Controller-Campus through LTE dialup, you can enable IMSI check before dialup to check whether the configured IMSI is the same as the IMSI of the current SIM card.

Procedure

  1. Create an APN profile.
    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run apn profile profile-name

An APN profile is created and the APN profile view is displayed.

By default, no APN profile is created.

    3. Run apn apn-name

      An APN is configured.

By default, no APN is configured in the APN profile.

      NOTE:
      • You can obtain the APN from the local carrier.
      • After the APN is configured, it is permanently recorded in the LTE data card. If the APN changes, reconfigure it.

  2. Enable the function of carrying the IMSI and SN in an APN user name.
    1. Run quit

      Return to the system view.

    2. Run apn user name catch-imsi-sn

The function of carrying the IMSI and SN in an APN user name is enabled.

By default, the function of carrying the IMSI and SN in an APN user name is disabled.

  3. (Optional) Enable IMSI check before LTE dialup.
    1. Run interface cellular interface-number

The LTE cellular interface view is displayed.

    2. Run imsi check

IMSI check before LTE dialup is enabled.

By default, IMSI check before LTE dialup is disabled.
