Licensing Requirements and Limitations for LSDP

Licensing Requirements and Limitations for LSDP

This section provides the points of attention when configuring LSDP.

Involved Network Elements

Licensing Requirements

LSDP is a basic feature of a router and is not under license control.

Feature Limitations

LSDP is supported by only Layer 3 Ethernet interfaces.

An AR3200 has active/standby MPUs installed. An active/standby switchover between the MPUs will also cause the interface status to alternate between Down and Up. It is difficult to determine whether the interface status change is caused by MPU switchover or LSDP. Therefore, you are not advised to configure LSDP on an AR3200.
