Involved Network Elements

Feature Limitations

  • IP FPM depends on NTP clock synchronization. If clocks are not synchronized, statistics cannot be collected or the statistical result is abnormal.

  • IP FPM does not support the SD-WAN solution in which double gateways and three upstream WAN ports are deployed.

  • IP FPM delay measurement is not reliable. When the packet loss rate on a link is high, there is a possibility that the detection result is inaccurate.

  • In the SD-WAN solution, IP FPM detection result can be reported to the SPR. It takes more than 20s to report detection results for the first time.
