Networking Design

The application layer of the AMR solution involves the EEM and DCP. The EEM and DCP are deployed on servers. The AMR solution supports remote disaster recovery. The remote disaster recovery solution can be deployed in the single-node system or cluster mode. The networking varies depending on the deployment solution.

Single-Node System Deployment Solution

All application systems share the database. All application systems including the database use the single-node system. Each application system and the database can be deployed on the same device or separately. The server configuration is different when different deployment solutions are used. See the application system design. For the single-node system deployment solution, load balancing does not need to be configured. Figure 1-1 shows the networking.

Cluster Deployment Solution

The EEM and DCP are deployed in cluster mode, and the database also uses the cluster or active/standby mode. Load balancing needs to be configured to implement services at the application layer. The AMR solution supports the LVS and F5 load balancer. Both the software load balancer and F5 load balancer use the active/standby mode to ensure reliability. The networking is different for different load balancing solutions.

Remote Disaster Recovery Solution

The remote disaster recovery solution can be deployed in the single-node system or cluster mode. When the cluster mode is used, each application system supports only the F5 load balancer. For the networking design, see Networking of the Remote Disaster Recovery Solution.
