Data Reliability Design

Data Reliability Design

Data collection is the main function of the AMI solution, and a basic function of each component. Most application systems implement their services and functions based on data collection, so accuracy, integrity, and availability of collected data must be guaranteed to ensure normal running of services. Application systems implement supplementary meter reading and data verification to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability.
  • Supplementary meter reading: Supplementary meter reading indicates that data that fails to be read by scheduled meter reading tasks is read again. The EEM collects data that fails to be collected from DCUs and smart meters. After data collection tasks are executed, the EEM automatically generates supplementary collection tasks to collect data that fails to be collected by collection tasks.
  • Data Validation, Estimation, and Editing (VEE): The CIS supports data VEE to ensure data validity and charging accuracy. Collected data is verified based on VEE rules. The CIS charges users based on the data that passes verification, and returns the data that fails verification and reminds users to process the data. The CIS supports data estimation and editing.
