CIS Design

Software and Hardware Configurations of the CIS

The Customer Information System (CIS) can be deployed in the single-node system or active/standby mode. There are different requirements for the deployment mode and software and hardware configurations of the CIS based on the number of managed devices in scenarios.

Software Configuration of the CIS
Table 2-1 describes the software configuration of the CIS.

Server deployment

The CIS in the single-node system, EEM in the single-node system, DCP, and Oracle database are deployed on the same device.

The CIS is deployed in the single-node system, and there is no need to deploy the load balancer.

The CIS in the single-node system, EEM in the single-node system, DCP, and Oracle database are deployed separately.

Cluster deployment is used. The CIS in active/standby mode and database are deployed separately, and load balancing is configured.

Cluster deployment is used. The CIS in active/standby mode is configured, and software load balancing or F5 load balancer can be used. A small number of smart meters are connected, so software load balancing is recommended to save costs.

VM deployment

The CIS in the single-node system, EEM in the single-node system, DCP, and Oracle database are deployed on the same device.

    • Hard disk: 1200 GB or more

Database Configuration of the CIS

The CIS supports the Oracle database. The Oracle database in the single-node system, Oracle RAC, or Oracle HA can be deployed. The requirements for the database depend on the number of connected devices. You can select configurations according to the actual situation.
