Installing the vCenter Plug-in

Scenarios

Install the vCenter plug-in.

Procedure

  1. Verify and decompress the vCenter plug-in installation package.
    1. Verify the integrity of FusionCube 3.2.0_vSphere_Solution.zip.

      For details, see OpenPGP Signature Verification Guide.

    2. Decompress FusionCube 3.2.0_vSphere_Solution.zip on the local PC.
      The following files are obtained:
      • apache-tomcat
      • config
      • FusionCube OpenSourceSoftwareNotice
      • fusioncube-vmware-tools.jar
  2. Start the Tomcat process.
    1. Go to apache-tomcat/bin.
    2. Double-click startup.bat.
  3. Install the vCenter plug-in.
    1. Double-click fusioncube-vmware-tools.jar.
    2. Set the parameters.
      • In Operation, select Install.
      • In vCenter Server Username, enter the user name for logging in to vCenter.

        The default user name is administrator@vsphere.local.

      • In vCenter Server Password, enter the password for logging in to vCenter.

        This password is set by the user when vCenter is deployed.

      • In vCenter Server IP, enter the IP address for logging in to vCenter.
      • In vCenter Version, select the version of vCenter.
      • In Plug-in IP, enter the IP address of the local PC.

        Ensure that the local PC can communicate with vCenter. For details, see Check Before the vCenter Plug-in Installation.

    3. Click Execute.

      The Continue dialog box is displayed.

    4. Click Yes.

      The Message dialog box is displayed.

    5. Click OK.
    6. Log in to vCenter to make the vCenter plug-in take effect.
  4. Stop the Tomcat process.
    1. Go to apache-tomcat/bin.
    2. Double-click shutdown.bat.
