Uninstalling the vCenter Plug-in


Uninstall the vCenter plug-in.


Before uninstalling the vCenter plug-in, ensure that:

  • The local PC runs Windows XP or later.
  • The local PC runs JDK 1.7.0 or later.
  • You have obtained the IP address, user name, and password for logging in to vCenter.
  • You have obtained the vCenter plug-in software package and the verification file.

  1. Verify and decompress the vCenter plug-in software package.
    1. Verify the integrity of FusionCube

      For details, see OpenPGP Signature Verification Guide.

    2. Decompress FusionCube on the local PC.
      The following files are obtained:
      • apache-tomcat
      • config
      • FusionCube OpenSourceSoftwareNotice
      • fusioncube-vmware-tools.jar
  2. Uninstall the vCenter plug-in.
    1. Double-click fusioncube-vmware-tools.jar.
    2. Set the parameters.
      • In Operation, select Uninstall.
      • In vCenter Server Username, enter the user name for logging in to vCenter.

        The default user name is administrator@vsphere.local.

      • In vCenter Server Password, enter the password for logging in to vCenter.

        This password is set by the user when vCenter is deployed.

      • In vCenter Server IP, enter the IP address for logging in to vCenter.

    3. Click Execute.

      The Continue dialog box is displayed.

    4. Click Yes.

      The Message dialog box is displayed.

    5. Click OK.
    6. Restart the vSphere web client.
