Configuring CPU and RAID Parameters

  1. Log in to the target server.

    1. Open a browser, enter https://RH1288 MBR IP address (for example, in the address box and press Enter. The login page is displayed.
    2. Enter the user name root and the password Huawei12#$, and click Log In.

    3. In the main menu, choose Remote and then click Remote Virtual Console (Shared Mode) or Remote Virtual Console (Private Mode).

    4. In the displayed dialog box, add the link as a trusted link. The KVM screen is displayed.

  2. Set BIOS options.

    1. Press Delete repeatedly when the system is powered on, and enter the password (Huawei12#$) to enter the BIOS.

    2. Select Advanced, select Intel RC Group, and press Enter.

    3. Select IIO Configuration and press Enter.

    4. Select Intel@ VT for Directed I/O (VT-d) and press Enter.

    5. Set VTd Azalia VCp Optimizations, Pcle SR-IOV, Intel@ VT for Directed I/O (VT-d), Interrupt Remapping, Coherency Support(Non-I soch), and Coherency Support(I soch) to Enabled.

    6. Press F10 and select Yes to save changes and restart the system.

  3. Configure the RAID.

    1. When the screen shown in the following figure is displayed, press Ctrl+R. The RAID screen is displayed.

    2. Press F2, select Delete Drive Group, and press Enter to delete the RAID group.

    3. Press F2, select Create Virtual Drive, and press Enter.

    4. Select the RAID level based on the disk configuration and plan. In this project, select RAID-1, select disks, and select OK.

    5. After the RAID group is created, return to the RAID main screen.

    6. Press Esc to exit the RAID main screen.

  4. Perform the same operations on other RH1288 servers to configure RAID.
