Installing vSwitches in a Batch Using the iDeploy

Installing the iDeploy Automatic Installation Tool

  1. Decompress the iDeploy package to a directory on disk C.

  2. Go to the bin directory in the iDeploy installation directory and run the startup.bat script as the administrator.

  3. Wait until a message similar to Server startup in 15460 ms is displayed at the end of the system output, indicating that the iDeploy server successfully starts.

  4. Access the iDeploy URL https://localhost:57679/ideploy/ in a browser. The user name is admin, and the default password is Admin123.

  5. Change the login password Huawei@123.

  6. Then, log in again using the new password.

Uploading a Software Package in HTTP Mode

  1. Choose Software Package Management > Manage Software Package in the navigation tree on the iDeploy page and click Add.

  2. Click Upload software package using HTTP and click Next.

  3. Click Browse, select a file, and click Upload.

  4. After the upload is complete, click Finish.

Adding a vSwitch Node

  1. Choose Host Management > Manage Host Group in the navigation tree on the iDeploy page. On the Host Group Manage page, click Add.

  2. Enter a host group name and click OK.

  3. Choose Host Management > Manage Host in the navigation tree on the iDeploy page. On the Manage Host page, click Add.

  4. Manually configure host information and click Check.

  5. The user password and root password are both root. If the system displays a message indicating that the passwords do not meet the requirements, ignore it and proceed with the operation.
  6. After the verification is successful, click OK.

    If the SSH connection check fails, try the method shown in the following figure.

  7. Restart the sshd service.

  8. Verify that the host is added successfully.

Checking the Server Environment

  1. Choose Task Management > Create Other Task. Enter the task name, select the software package, select the site, and click Next.

  2. Click Check environment and click Next.

  3. Select the corresponding hosts and click Next.

  4. Confirm the information and click Execute.

  5. Task execution starts.

  6. Wait until the task execution is complete.

Preconfiguring the System

  1. Choose Task Management > Create Installation Task and enter basic task information. Confirm the information and click Next.

  2. Click Preconfigure system and click Next.

  3. Select the corresponding hosts and click Next.

  4. Configure system hugepage, core isolation, and IOMMU, and click Next.

  5. Confirm the information and click Execute.

  6. Wait until the task execution is complete.

Installing and Starting the vSwitch

  1. Choose Task Management > Create Installation Task and enter basic task information. Confirm the information and click Next.

  2. Click CE1800V installation and click Next.

  3. Select a host where the vSwitch is to be installed. Confirm the host information and click Next.

  4. Set the parameters required for the vSwitch to start and click Next. The CE1800V user password is Huawei@123.

    • Management network port: An IP address must have been configured for the network interface and there are reachable routes between this IP address and the southbound floating IP address of the Agile Controller-DCN cluster.
    • Uplink port mode: If the data interface mode is eth, the NIC must be an existing NIC on the server.
    • Uplink port name: NIC used to provision services on the OpenStack. Here, set it to the tenant NIC.

  5. Openstack control node IP: IP address for accessing the OpenStack page.

  6. View the metadata proxy shared password in the /etc/nova/nova.conf file.

    The DHCP user password is Huawei@123. The VXLAN IP address is the IP address of the local tenant.

  7. Confirm the information and click Execute.

  8. Wait until the task execution is complete.

  9. Complete the environment check, system preconfiguration, and installation task execution on the other computer node in the same way.

    The following figure shows its VTEP IP address.
