Check Before Installation

Check Before Installation

This section describes how to perform the check operation before installation.

  1. Check whether the operating system and its patch of the eLog analyzer are correctly installed. For details, see section 5.2 "Installing the SUSE Linux Operating System."
  2. Check the list of ports occupied by the eLog according to Communication Matrix. If other programs occupy the port, stop the programs to release the port. For details, see Checking Whether a Port Is Occupied in the Windows Operating System and Releasing the Occupied Port.
  3. Ensure that at least one network adapter is started and connected with the network cable. During the installation process, the installation program needs to invoke the service of the network adapter. The network must be connected.
  4. Ensure that the system time of the eLog analyzer is correctly specified. For details, see section 5.5 "Configuring the NTP Component."
