Description

VGA port

DB-15

1

The port is connected to a terminal, such as a monitor or KVM.

USB port

USB3.0

2

The USB port is connected to a USB device.

NOTICE:

Before connecting to an external USB device, check that the USB device operates properly. eLog server may fail if it is connected to an abnormal USB device.

The USB 3.0 is disabled by default. You can enable it in the BIOS. When you use the VMware OS, do not enable the USB 3.0. Otherwise, the keyboard and mouse are unavailable.

iBMC management network port

Ethernet port

1

The port is used to log in to the iBMC.

Serial port

RJ45

1

The port is used as the system serial port by default. You can set it to the iBMC serial port by using the iBMC command. The port is used for debugging.

Rear hard disk

3.5-inch SAS hard disk

2

RAID1 is implemented on the disk, which is used as the system disk.

Web access port and service port

Ethernet port

2

  • For the analyzer, the web access port is used to provide web services and for users to access the eLog, and the service port is used for service communications with other components, such as the collector. The web access port and service port can be the same port ETH0. If the log source and collector reside on different subnets, however, they can be two different ports ETH0 and ETH1.
  • For the collector, ETH0 serves as the service port for exchanging information with the analyzer and collecting logs reported by the log source.
  • In a centralized scenario, the web access port is used to provide web services and for users to access the eLog, and the service port is used to collect logs reported by the log source. The web access port and service port can be the same port ETH0. If the log source and collector reside on different subnets, however, they can be two different ports ETH0 and ETH1.

Standard network port

Ethernet port

2

A single collector (external disk array) is used in the configuration process.

Expansion slot

Optical port

1

Supports the expansion HBA and NIC.

LOM network port

Ethernet port

4

The ports are 2 x 10GE optical ports and 2 x GE electrical ports and numbered from ETH4 to ETH7 from left to right.

NOTICE:

10GE optical ports do not support 10/100M networks.

GE electrical ports do not support forced rate and 10/100M networks.
