Stopping the Analyzer or Collector

The analyzer or collector is started when the devices are delivered. Before you change the IP address of the operating system, you must stop the eLog analyzer or collector first.

Context

In centralized mode, you just need to stop the analyzer. In distributed mode, you need to stop both the analyzer and collector.

Procedure

  • Stop the analyzer.
    1. Log in to the server where the analyzer resides as the omm user.

      When you log in to the operating system as the omm user for the first time, you need to change the password. For details, see How to Change the Password of the omm User.

    2. Right-click the desktop and choose Open in Terminal from the shortcut menu to access the CLI.
    3. Run the cd software-installation-path/engineering/tools command to access the directory.

      The default directory is /opt/huawei/LogCenter/engineering/tools.

    4. Run the ./shutdown.sh command to stop the eLog.
      If the following output is displayed, the analyzer is shut down.
      System is shut down successfully.
  • Stop the collector.
    1. Log in to the server where the collector resides as the omm user.

      When you log in to the operating system as the omm user for the first time, you need to change the password. For details, see How to Change the Password of the omm User.

    2. Right-click the desktop and choose Open in Terminal from the shortcut menu to access the CLI.
    3. Run the cd software-installation-path/engineering/tools command to access the directory.
