What Shall I Do to Prevent the Display of the "Certificate Error" Message When I Use HTTPS to Log In to the eLog?

What Shall I Do to Prevent the Display of the "Certificate Error" Message When I Use HTTPS to Log In to the eLog?

When I log in to the eLog through the HTTPS protocol, problems of the security certificate are displayed. I must create and import the security certificate to the browser for a successful login to the eLog.

Procedure

  1. Install the security certificate.

This case uses IE as an example.

    1. Open Internet Explorer, type https://IP:httpsport in the address box to log in to the eLog.

The value of IP specifies the selected eLog server IP address. The value of httpsport specifies the HTTPS service port. The default HTTPS port is 8080. If you have specified a port other than the default one during the installation, enter the specified port.

    2. The Security Alert dialog box is displayed. Click OK.

    3. Click View Certificate.

    4. In the displayed Certificate dialog box, click Install Certificate.

    5. In Certificate Import Wizard, install the security certificate according to prompt messages. Click Next.

    6. Select a storage area for the certificate. Click Next.

    7. After the certificate is imported successfully, click Finish.

    8. In the displayed Security Warning dialog box, click Yes to verify validity of the security certificate IP address.
    9. Click OK. The security certificate is imported successfully.

  2. After the certificate is imported successfully, restart the browser and type https://IP:httpsport in the address box to log in to the eLog.

    • If you can log in to the eLog, the security certificate is imported successfully.
    • If a connection error message is displayed, check whether the eLog server IP address is correct.
