One-click Configuration in the Standalone Collector + Disk Array Scenario

If you use the automatic configuration script, you only need to set several parameters to configure the disk array, install the collector and configure temporary IP address for eth3 interface in one-click mode.


The automatic configuration script has been obtained.

The eLog installation package has been obtained.

If remote operation is required, open the root remote connection. Otherwise, the installation will fail. For details, see How to Enable or Disable Root Remote Connection.


  1. Log in to the OS of the server as user root.
  2. Save the automatic configuration script in a directory, for example, /opt, as described in Using the WinSCP Tool to Send the Software Package to the Server.
  3. On the terminal UI, run the cd /opt command to access the /opt directory.
  4. Run the unzip -d config command to decompress the automatic configuration script in a directory, for example, config.

  5. Referring to Using the WinSCP Tool to Send the Software Package to the Server, save the eLog installation package in the /opt/config directory.

    After the files are uploaded, run the ll command to check.

  6. Run the automatic configuration scripts.

    1. Run the sh command.
    2. Enter the IP address of the associated analyzer.

    3. Press Enter to start the configuration. The configuration takes about 10 minutes.


Start the collector and run the command. If the following information is displayed, the installation is successful.

  1. Run the cd /opt/huawei/LogCenter/engineering/tools command to open the directory.
  2. Run the su omm command to switch to user omm.
  3. Run the ./ command to start the collector.
  4. Run the ./ command to perform the check. The collector and webservice services are required on the collector.
    LogServer:/opt/huawei/LogCenter/engineering/tools # su omm  //Switch to user omm.
    omm@LogServer:/opt/huawei/LogCenter/engineering/tools> ./ 
    service is starting,please wait...
    collector is starting,please wait.... success.
    webservice is starting,please wait..... success.
