What Can I Do If Log Downloading Fails Due to Environment Variable Conflicts?

What Can I Do If Log Downloading Fails Due to Environment Variable Conflicts?

Question

What can I do if log downloading fails due to environment variable conflicts?

Answer

  1. Check whether the log downloading failure is due to environment variable conflicts.

    • Check whether other GaussDB instances are deployed on the management node.
    • Check whether the following error message is displayed when downloading logs:
Failed to read the database: The IP addresses of all hosts fail to be obtained from the database.

  2. Log in to the active management node as user omm and run the following command:

    echo $PATH

You can see the bin path of other GaussDB instances and the GaussDB bin path corresponding to the OMS of the management node, as shown in the following example:
    /opt/huawei/Bigdata/mppdb/core/bin:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/mppdb/wisequery/pssh-2.3.1/bin:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/mppdb/wisequery/script:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-server_6.5.0/OMS/tools:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-server_6.5.0/OMS/gaussdb/bin:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/bin/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_144/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/bin/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-server_6.5.0/OMS/tools:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-server_6.5.0/OMS/gaussdb/bin:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/bin/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-server_6.5.0/OMS/tools:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-server_6.5.0/OMS/gaussdb/bin:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/bin/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/bin/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-server_6.5.0/OMS/tools:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-server_6.5.0/OMS/gaussdb/bin:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_144/:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/common/runtime0/jdk1.8.0_162/bin/:/usr/lib64/qt-3.3/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-agent_6.5.0/OMA/tools:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/home/omm/bin:/opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-agent_6.5.0/OMA/tools:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin

  3. Use the remote tool to open a new remote connection, connect to the active management node, and run the following command:

    sh ${BIGDATA_HOME}/om-server/om/sbin/restart-controller.sh
