Reinstalling a Host

Reinstalling a Host

When handling a host fault, you can reinstall all service roles on the host. After the service roles are reinstalled, the service roles on the host are consistent with those displayed in the service topology during cluster installation. If the host to be reinstalled is an isolated host, the host remains in the isolated state after the reinstallation.

If you reinstall a host as user omm, grant operation rights to user omm before executing the task.

The default SSH port No. (22) is used for each node in the cluster. Otherwise, the task in this section will fail.

  1. Log in to FusionInsight Manager.
  2. Click Host.
  3. Select the check box of the host to be reinstalled.
  4. Select Reinstall from the More drop-down list.

In the displayed dialog box, enter the password of the current login user and click OK.

  5. In the displayed confirmation dialog box, select I want to delete the selected hosts and accept that this may result in service faults and data losses.

If you do not need to retain service data on the host, select Clear Data.

  6. Select user root and enter the password, and click OK.

Wait until the message "Operation succeeded" is displayed, and click Finish.

If you reinstall the host as user omm, delete the operation rights from user omm after the task is complete.
