(Optional) Configuring DNS

(Optional) Configuring DNS

Scenario

FusionInsight HD supports interconnection with external storage services, such as S3 and FusionStorageHDFS. If domain names are used for interconnection, configure the DNS service for FusionInsight HD nodes. This section instructs installation engineers to use the batch execution tool to configure the DNS service for nodes in the FusionInsight HD cluster.

Prerequisties

  • An available DNS server has been set up.
  • The network between the DNS server and FusionInsight HD is connected.
  • The package FusionInsight_SetupTool_6.5.0.tar.gz has been decompressed to the /opt directory on the active management node.

Procedure

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the active management node as user root.
  2. Run the following command to go to the /opt/FusionInsight_SetupTool/preinstall/tools/cluster directory and configure the batch execution tool. For detail, see How to Run Commands or Access Files on Multiple Nodes in a Cluster.

    cd /opt/FusionInsight_SetupTool/preinstall/tools/cluster

  3. Run the following command to add the DNS service to all nodes configured in Step 2:

    ./clustercmd.sh "sed -i \"a\nameserver 10.10.10.10\" /etc/resolv.conf"

    NOTE:

In the preceding command, 10.10.10.10 indicates the IP address of the available DNS server.
