Update the Configuration of the Installed Client

Update the Configuration of the Installed Client

The cluster provides a client that can be used to connect to the server, view task results, or manage data. If you modify service configuration parameters on Manager and restart the service, you need to download and install the installed client again or use the configuration file to update the client.

You have installed the client.

  1. Log in to FusionInsight Manager.
  2. Choose Homepage > More > Download Client > Configuration Files Only.

The generated compressed file contains the configuration files of all services.

  3. Determine whether a configuration file needs to be generated on the cluster node.

    • If yes, select Save to path and click OK to generate a client file. After the file is generated, it is saved in the /tmp/FusionInsight-Client directory on the active management node by default. You can also store the client file in other directories, and user omm has the read, write, and execute permissions for the directories. Then, go to 4.
    • If no, click OK, specify a local save path, and download the complete client. Wait until the download is complete, and go to 4.

  4. Use WinSCP to save the compressed file to the installation directory of the client as the client installation user, such as /opt/hadoopclient.
  5. Decompresses the software package.

Run the following commands to enter into the directory where the client is installed, and decompress the file to a local directory:

    cd /opt/hadoopclient

    tar -xvf FusionInsight_Services_Client.tar

  6. Verify the software package.

Run the sha256sum command to verify the decompressed file and check whether the command output is consistent with the information in the sha256 file.

    sha256sum -c FusionInsight_Services_ClientConfig_ConfigFiles.tar.sha256

    FusionInsight_Services_ClientConfig_ConfigFiles.tar: OK

  7. Decompress the package to obtain the configuration file.

    tar -xvf FusionInsight_Services_ClientConfig_ConfigFiles.tar

  8. Run the following command in the client installation directory to update the client:

sh Directory where the client is stored Directory where the configuration file is stored

For example, run the follow command.

    sh /opt/hadoopclient /opt/hadoopclient/FusionInsight_Services_ClientConfig_ConfigFiles

If the following information is displayed, the configuration is updated successfully.

Succeed to refresh components client config.
