Installing the Public Key Certificate of the Cluster

Scenario

A public key certificate (certificate for short) is a digital signature statement that binds a public key to the ID of an individual, device, or service that has the related private key.

When you attempt to log in to FusionInsight Manager using a browser, the FusionInsight Manager home page may not be displayed due to a certificate error. In which case, install the certificate.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  • Install the certificate using Internet Explorer.
    1. In the address box of Internet Explorer, enter the address of FusionInsight Manager, and click Continue to this website (not recommended) twice.
    2. Click Certificate Error, and click View certificates in the displayed dialog box.
    3. In the Certificate dialog box, click Certification Path > huawei > View Certificates.
    4. In the Certificate dialog box, click Install Certificate.
    5. In the displayed Certification Import Wizard dialog box, click Next.

    6. In the Certificate Store dialog box, select Place all certificates in the following store, and click Browse.
    7. In the Select Certificate Store dialog box, select Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click OK.
    8. In the displayed Certification Import Wizard dialog box, click Next.
    9. In the Completing the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, click Finish.
    10. In the displayed Security Warning dialog box, click Yes.
    11. In the displayed The import was successful dialog box, click OK. The certificate is installed.
    12. In the Certificate dialog box, click OK.
    13. On Internet Explorer, click, choose Internet Options.
    14. In the displayed Internet Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab page.
    15. In the Settings area, deselect Warn about certificate address mismatch.
    16. Click OK.
  • Install the certificate using the Chrome browser.
    1. In the address bar of the Chrome browser, enter the address of FusionInsight Manager, and press F12 to open the developer tool. Choose Security > View Certificate.
      NOTE:

      Operations vary depending on Google Chrome versions. This operation uses Google Chrome 59 as an example.

    2. In the displayed Certificate dialog box, choose Certificate Path > huawei > View Certificate.
    3. In the displayed Certificate dialog box, choose Details > Copy to File. In Certification Import Wizard, click Next.
    4. In Certification Import Wizard > Export File Format, retain the default settings and click Next.
    5. In Certification Import Wizard > File to Export, click Browse. In the Save As dialog box, select a save path, enter the certificate file name, such as D:\abc, in File name, set Save as type to DER Encoded Binary X.0509(*.cer), and click Save.
    6. In Certification Import Wizard, click Next > Finish > OK as prompted.
    7. In the Chrome browser, click and choose Settings > Show advanced settings > HTTPS/SSL(Manage certificates).
    8. In the Certificate dialog box that is displayed, select Trusted Root Certification Authorities, click Import, and click Next.
    9. In the Certification Import Wizard dialog box, click Browse, select the certificated that is stored locally, such as D:\abc.cer, and click Next.
    10. In the Certificate Store area, select Place all certificates in the following store, and click Browse.
    11. Select Trusted Root Certification Authorities, and click OK to return to the Certification Import Wizard dialog box.
    12. Click Next, and then click Finish.
    13. In the Security Warning dialog box that is displayed, click Yes. In the The import was successful dialog box that is displayed, click OK.
    14. Choose Settings > Show advanced settings > Network(Change proxy settings) > Advanced. In the Settings area, deselect Warn about certificate address mismatch.
    15. Click OK.
