Viewing Installation Logs


Logs are generated during FusionInsight HD installation to record details about the installation. View the logs for troubleshooting if an error occurs during the installation and you cannot find related cases in Common Problems.


  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the node where the logs are stored as user root, for example, the active management node.
  2. Run the following command to disable logout on timeout:


  3. View the log file. For example, run the following command to view the log file generated during Configuring and Checking the Installation Environment.

    vi /tmp/fi-preinstall.log
