Installing Manager

Installing Manager

Installing Manager on Two Management Nodes

Scenario

To improve system reliability, you are advised to install the Manager on two management nodes instead of the single-node Manager. For details about how to install a single-node Manager, see Installing a Single-node Manager. If a fault occurs during the installation, view the installation logs. For details about how to view the installation logs, see Viewing Installation Logs.

Impact on the System
  • After Manager is installed, you can log in to the FusionInsight Manager system to install the cluster.
  • During the Manager installation, the OS firewall of the node where Manager is to be installed is automatically disabled by the installation script to ensure communication in the cluster. If the firewall needs to be enabled, see the FusionInsight HD 6.5.0 Communication Matrix to enable the ports manually.
Prerequisites

The HostIP.ini file has been uploaded to specified locations (generally the /opt/FusionInsight_Manager/software directory on the active and standby management nodes).

  • If you install the cluster as user omm, obtain the password of user omm in advance.
Procedure

Install the active Manager.

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the active management node as user root. If you install the cluster as user omm, log in to the node as user omm.
  2. Go to the directory generated after the software package is decompressed, such as /opt/FusionInsight_Manager/software, and run the following command to check whether the HostIP.ini file (such as 192.168.10.10.ini) is uploaded to this directory.

    cd /opt/FusionInsight_Manager/software

    cat 192.168.10.10.ini

    //192.168.10.10.ini (Example: active MN)
    [HA]
    ha_mode=double

    bigdata_data_home=/srv/BigData
    cluster_nodes_scale=11
    tls_protocol_min=tlsv1.1
    [/HA]

  3. Run the following command to install the Manager and wait for the installation to complete:

    ./install.sh -f /opt/FusionInsight_Manager/software/192.168.10.10.ini
