Configuring a Python Version

Configuring a Python Version

This section describes how to configure a Python version.

The Python script parser has two versions: Python 2.7.15 and Python 3.7.0. Only one version can take effect at a time. You need to select a version based on the Python script that is in use.

This configuration task applies only to the admin VS.

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run ops

    The OPS view is displayed.

  3. Run install { python2 | python3 }

    The Python version is configured.

    • Before running this command, check that no Python script has been installed on the device. If a Python script already exists, run the ops uninstall file file-name command to uninstall the script.

    • If a Python script is running on the device, run the undo script-assistant python file-name command or undo assistant task-name command to stop the script and then uninstall it.

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.

Verifying the Configuration

Run the display python version command to check information about the Python version that is in use.
