Configuring the Serdes Rate Mode Between LPUs and SFUs

Configuring the Serdes Rate Mode Between LPUs and SFUs

Context

The Serdes rate between LPUs and SFUs has two modes: enhanced mode and non-enhanced mode, which provide different Serdes rates.

NOTE:

When a switch has SFUAs, SFUBs, or SFUCs installed, the switch cannot have FG, FG1, FD1, SD, FD and FDA LPUs installed. When a switch has FG, FG1, FD1, SD, FD or FDA LPUs installed, the switch cannot have SFUAs, SFUBs, or SFUCs installed.

When CE-L16CQ-FD/FG/FD1/FG1/SD and FD (except CE-L16CQ-FD)/FDA series LPUs are used on the same switch, if the Serdes rate mode is set to enhanced mode using the set serdes capability enhanced command, some Serdes links of CE-L16CQ-FD/FG/FD1/FG1/SD will be shut down, affecting the card forwarding performance.

CE12800E does not support this function.

Procedure

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the set serdes capability enhanced [ chassis chassis-id ] command to set the Serdes rate mode between LPUs and SFUs.

By default, the Serdes rate mode between LPUs and SFUs is non-enhanced mode.

    NOTE:

The set serdes capability enhanced command configuration takes effect after the switch is restarted.

  3. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
