Configuring an MLD Report Message Filtering Policy

Configuring an MLD Report Message Filtering Policy

Context

To enhance multicast service security, you can filter out MLD Report messages from specified hosts.

An MLD Report message filtering policy must reference an ACL6. When the filtering policy references a basic ACL6, it can filter MLD Report messages with a specified source address. When the filtering policy references an advanced ACL6, it can filter MLD Report messages with specified source and destination addresses. For details about ACL6 configuration, see "ACL Configuration" in the CloudEngine 12800 and 12800E Series Switches Configuration Guide - Security.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run vlan vlan-id

    The VLAN view is displayed.

  3. Run mld snooping ip-source-policy { acl6-number | acl6-name acl6-name }

    An MLD Report message filtering policy is configured to allow hosts in the VLAN to dynamically join the multicast groups that match the specified ACL6.

    By default, no MLD Query message filtering policy is configured in a VLAN.

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
