Impact on the System

After the RPF route flapped, packet loss may occur during data forwarding.

Possible Causes

The RPF route was unstable.

Procedure

  1. Check whether AddressFamily is IPv4. If AddressFamily is IPv4, the alarm is triggered in the IPv4 address family. Perform the following operations:
    1. Run the display ip routing-tablecommand to check whether the unicast route to the neighbor is normal.

      • If the unicast route to the neighbor is abnormal, go to Step b.

      • If the unicast route to the neighbor is abnormal, rectify the fault and go to Step c.

    2. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
    3. End.
  2. Check whether AddressFamily is IPv6. If AddressFamily is IPv6, the alarm is triggered in the IPv6 address family. Perform the following operations:
    1. Run the display ipv6 routing-table command to check whether the unicast route to the neighbor is normal.

      • If the unicast route to the neighbor is abnormal, go to Step b.

      • If the unicast route to the neighbor is abnormal, rectify the fault and go to Step c.

    2. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
    3. End.
