High definition (HD) videoconferencing endpoints (endpoints for short) are important devices in the videoconferencing system. To enable users to control endpoints conveniently on an operation interface (Telnet interface), endpoints provide many Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Users can invoke these APIs to implement the following functions:

  • Control calls, including initiating and ending calls.
  • Query call status.
  • Start and stop sending the presentation.
  • Simulate key actions on the remote control.
  • Control the address book, including reading the address book, editing and saving address book information, and initiating calls from the address book.
  • Control the camera, and read and save local presets.
  • Select the camera source.
  • Control the local microphone.
  • Control the local volume.
  • Perform two-stage dialing.
  • Control the local layout.
  • Set call or siteCall parameters.
