Configuring the Condition of Triggering iPCA Performance Alarm

Context

If the network administrator is unaware of network performance degradation and does not adjust services on the network in a timely manner, the number of lost packets and delay will continuously increase, causing user experience to degrade. To facilitate network operation and maintenance, the network O&M personnel can configure the condition of triggering iPCA performance alarms. When the number of lost packets or delay reaches the specified threshold, the alarm or clear alarm for packet loss or delay is reported.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run nqa ipfpm mcp

    The IPFPM-MCP view is displayed.

  3. Run instance instance-id

    The IP FPM measurement instance view is displayed.

  4. Run loss-measure ratio-threshold upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit

    The upper and lower thresholds for IP FPM packet loss alarm and clear alarm are set.

  5. Configure the threshold for the IP FPM delay alarm.

    • If the target flow is a unidirectional flow, run the delay-measure one-way delay-threshold upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command to set the upper and lower thresholds for the IP FPM unidirectional delay alarm and clear alarm.
    • If the target flow is a bidirectional flow, run the delay-measure two-way delay-threshold upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command to set the upper and lower thresholds for the IP FPM bidirectional delay alarm and clear alarm.

  6. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
