Rollback on Error

Rollback on Error

The rollback on error capability allows the device to perform rollback when an error occurs. More specifically, the <error-option> parameter of the <edit-config> operation can carry the rollback-on-error field. If an error occurs and error element <rpc-error> is generated during the <edit-config> operation, the server stops the <edit-config> operation and restores the configuration to the state before the <edit-config> operation.

This capability is only available when the device supports the candidate configuration capability.
