<copy-config>

<copy-config>

The <copy-config> operation creates or replaces an entire configuration database with the content of another complete configuration database. If the target database exists, it is overwritten. Otherwise, a new one is created, if allowed.
  • The configuration data in the <candidate/> and <running/> configuration databases can be saved to a specified URL file.
  • The configuration data in the <running/> configuration database can be copied to the <candidate/> or <startup/> configuration database.
  • The configuration data in a specified URL file (remote file or local file) can replace that in the <candidate/> or <startup/> configuration database.
Save the configuration data in the <running/> configuration database to the local eee.xml file:
  • RPC request:

    <rpc message-id="101" xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:netconf:base:1.0">
     <copy-config>
      <target>
         <url>file:///eee.xml</url>
      </target>
      <source>
        <running/>
      </source>
     </copy-config>
    </rpc>
  • RPC reply:

    <rpc-reply message-id="101" xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:netconf:base:1.0">
      <ok/>
    </rpc-reply>
Save the configuration data in the <candidate/> configuration database to a remote path specified by the URL:
  • RPC request:

    <rpc message-id="101" xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:netconf:base:1.0">
     <copy-config>
      <target>
         <url>ftp://root:root@10.1.1.1/abc.xml</url>
      </target>
      <source>
        <cadidate/>
      </source>
     </copy-config>
    </rpc>
  • RPC reply:

    <rpc-reply message-id="101" xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:netconf:base:1.0">
      <ok/>
    </rpc-reply>
