Configuring Traffic Suppression in a VLAN/BD
Context
Excess broadcast, multicast and unknown unicast packets will cause broadcast storms. You can configure traffic suppression for a specified type of packet in a VLAN or a BD to limit the rate of these packets.
Pre-configuration Tasks
Before configuring traffic suppression in a VLAN or a BD, configure link layer protocol parameters for interfaces in the VLAN or a BD to ensure that the link layer protocol status on the interfaces is Up.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run vlan vlan-id
The VLAN view is displayed.
Or run bridge-domain bd-id
The BD view is displayed.
- Run { storm suppression broadcast | storm suppression multicast | storm suppression unknown-unicast } cir cir-value [ gbps | mbps | kbps ] [ cbs cbs-value [ bytes | mbytes | kbytes ] ]
Traffic suppression is configured in the VLAN or a BD.

The configuration is committed.
