Licensing Requirements and Limitations for TCAM ACL Customization
Involved Network Elements
Other network elements are not required.
Licensing Requirements
TCAM ACL customization is a basic function of the switch, and as such is controlled by the license for basic software functions. The license for basic software functions has been loaded and activated before delivery. You do not need to manually activate it.

Feature Limitations
Hardware resource programmability may affect existing services. Exercise caution when you use this function. To use hardware resource programmability, contact technical support personnel.
- Table 4-2 describes the specifications of TCAM ACL customization.
- All VSs in group mode support TCAM ACL customization.
- In versions earlier than V100R006C00, among VSs in port mode, only the admin-VS supports TCAM ACL customization. In V100R006C00 and later versions, the VSs in port mode and TCAM ACL customization cannot be configured together.
- On an unconfigured device, configure TCAM ACL customization profiles and then services. If there are configurations on the device and ACL resources have been allocated, the TCAM ACL customization profiles cannot take effect. In this case, delete the services that reference the profiles or restart LPUs where the profiles have been applied.
- Before modifying the TCAM ACL customization profile that has been applied to a service, unbind the profile from the service.
- In V200R002C50 and later versions, ACL-based simplified traffic policies support TCAM ACL customization.
- You can configure TCAM ACL customization policy groups only when MQC, ACL-based simplified traffic policies, or policy-based routing (PBR) is applied to the inbound direction.
- If IPv4 and IPv6 trafficpolicy-erspan, trafficpolicy-filter, and trafficpolicy-int services are configured in a TCAM ACL customization profile, the width of IPv4 and IPv6 groups must be the same. Otherwise, the TCAM ACL customization profile fails to be delivered.
