Configuring Traffic Suppression in a VSI

Context

You can configure traffic suppression in a VSI to limit the rate of incoming broadcast packets, multicast packets, and unknown unicast packets, and prevent broadcast storms.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run vsi vsi-name [ static ]

    The VSI view is displayed.

  3. Run { storm suppression broadcast | storm suppression multicast | storm suppression unknown-unicast } cir cir-value [ gbps | mbps | kbps ] [ cbs cbs-value [ byte | mbyte | kbyte ] ]

    Traffic suppression is configured in the VSI.

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
