Configuring EEDB Resource Specifications for RIOT

Configuring EEDB Resource Specifications for RIOT

EEDB is a type of chip forwarding resources, which must be allocated when forwarding services are configured. By default, EEDB resources of two banks are reserved for RIOT. If no RIOT services are deployed on the switch, disable RIOT from occupying EEDB resources so that other services can use EEDB resources reserved for RIOT. This operation can increase specifications of other services. For example, ARP specifications of a card can be increased from 80,000 to 88,000.

Currently, only Layer 3 VXLAN services require RIOT to use EEDB resources. After RIOT is disabled from occupying EEDB resources, Layer 3 VXLAN is not supported.

Only the CE6870EI and CE6875EI support this function.

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run ip routing riot disable

RIOT is disabled from occupying EEDB resources.

By default, RIOT can occupy EEDB resources of two banks.

The command configuration takes effect after the switch is restarted.

  3. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
