Setting the UAT Resource Allocation Mode and Hash Mode

Setting the UAT Resource Allocation Mode and Hash Mode

Context

The VLAN translation table is used for services including Layer 2 sub-interfaces, Layer 3 sub-interfaces, binding between BD and VNI, VBDIF interfaces, VLAN mapping, VLAN stacking, and VLAN range. The tunnel termination table is used for services including MPLS label services and IP tunnel termination services. Setting the UAT resource allocation mode can help adjust the UAT resources allocated to the VLAN translation table and tunnel termination table.

If there are many MPLS label services, you are advised to set the UAT resource hash mode to more-lsp. If there are many IP tunnel termination services, you are advised to set the UAT resource hash mode to more-iptnl.

NOTE:

Only the CE6857EI, CE6865EI, CE8861EI, and CE8868EI support this configuration.

The configuration takes effect after the switch restarts.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run assign forward layer-3 unified-adaptation resource vlan-translation value1 tunnel-termination value2

    The UAT resource allocation mode is set.

    By default, 24576 UAT resources are allocated to the VLAN translation table, and 16384 UAT resources are allocated to the tunnel termination table.

  3. Run assign forward layer-3 unified-adaptation hash { more-iptnl | more-lsp }

    The UAT resource hash mode is set.

    By default, the UAT resource hash mode is more-lsp.

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
