In data center networks, with the continuous development of hardware technologies, switches and servers require more accurate time to provide high time precision for services such as network delay measurement, O&M analysis, and distributed computing. In Figure 6-16, an ordinary clock (OC) obtains high-precision time information through the GPS, and data center network devices provide the high-precision time information received from the OC to servers through 1588v2 messages.
