Configuring the Channel Number for the Center Wavelength of DWDM Optical Modules

Configuring the Channel Number for the Center Wavelength of DWDM Optical Modules

Context

The wavelength determines the fiber transmission quality and efficiency. Setting a wavelength used in optical communication enables fibers to flexibly use different transmission modes in different situations. The system pre-sets 80 channels, each of which has a wavelength value. Before setting the center wavelength of DWDM optical modules, run the display wavelength-map command to view the mapping between the channel number of DWDM optical modules and center wavelength and then run the wavelength-channel channel-number command to set the channel number for the center wavelength of DWDM optical modules.

NOTE:
  • This command is supported only after 10GE DWDM optical modules are preconfigured or installed in 10GE and 25GE interfaces.

  • This configuration is supported in both the 10GE interface view, 25GE interfaces view and port group view.

Procedure

  1. (Optional) Run display wavelength-map

The mapping between the channel number of DWDM optical modules and center wavelength is displayed.

  2. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  3. Run interface interface-type interface-number

    The interface view is displayed.

  4. Run wavelength-channel channel-number

The channel number for the center wavelength of DWDM optical modules is set.

By default, the channel number for the center wavelength of DWDM optical modules is 1.

  5. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
