Configuring NetStream Sampling Resources

Configuring NetStream Sampling Resources

NetStream sampling can either use mirroring or snoop resources. If NetStream sampling uses mirroring resources, NetStream and port mirroring cannot be configured on the same interface. If NetStream sampling uses snoop resources, port mirroring and inbound NetStream can be configured on the same interface.

Only the CE6875EI and CE6870EI support NetStream sampling resource configuration.

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the netstream sampler inbound resource snoop command to configure inbound NetStream sampling to use snoop resources.

By default, inbound NetStream sampling uses mirroring resources.

After this command has been executed, inbound NetStream sampling cannot be configured in an interface view. If inbound NetStream sampling has been configured in an interface view, first run the undo netstream sampler [ random-packets packet-interval ] inbound command to disable inbound NetStream sampling, and then use this command.

  3. Run the commit command to commit the configuration.
