Application Scenario for Intelligent Traffic Analysis

As shown in Figure 19-5, different services are deployed on the data center network of a financial company, and a fund application is configured on VM1 and VM3. Packets in a service flow carrying this fund application are sent and received along the same path between VM1 and VM3. In this case, every switch on the path can capture bidirectional traffic of this service flow. To allow O&M personnel to monitor the traffic of this fund application, intelligent traffic analysis can be enabled on one or more switches on the path through which this service flow passes. With this function, exceptions such as packet loss and long delay can be detected in time to facilitate accurate fault locating. In addition, the switches can send the analysis result to FabricInsight for further analysis and display.
